Rare footage of the racers in motion! The movies are in Windows media
format. Most Windows systems should play these without problem so long
as you have the Windows Media Player. A great alternative
is the Ultraplayer. I hope to have the movies available
in avi or MPEG in the near future for non-Windows users. |

1953, Coronation TT and initially the Ben Hur start of the Clubman's
race. Shown is the No16 Clubmans TT winner Dave Powell on 500 Triumph
on his way to a win. A rare shot also shows No 26 the German ex-Pow who
worked for E.M Stephens and whose disappearance form Carmarthen is still
a mystery...

The views of Lightweights in 1953 are identified by their yellow number
plates. & Cecil Sandford by now a World Champ can be seen on Arthur
Taylor's 250 Velocette. Another scarce shot is of No 12, B Purslove of
Shrewsbury on his BSA single in the Junior race 1953.

The famous tussle of the No 56 Works 350 AJS of Les Graham versus the
Bates tuned No 52 Privateer 500 Norton of Syd Barnett which the former
won and the latter set the final lap record. This was a huge event &
incredible to remain recorded & in existence.
