This machine was the Works Douglas Development ridden & being developed by the man seated on it Franz Pados, who when the factory closed left for Canada & raced impressively there. Late entry had him on the list of reserves for Event 4 using letter "M" on its racing number plates, the Senior, his entry was by "self" & it noted his racing licence was "applied for".

The machine on which special engine mods can be plainly seen was obtained & lovingly cared for & used by Norman Camamile, an apprentice at Douglas & a friend of Franz’s. Norman no longer with us adored the machine & it now is being restored once more by a friend.  Franz’s daughter Marsha found reference to her dad in a chance viewing of this website & enthusiasts & family are now in contact.
